No, I get it.

If people were trying to convince you that Pelicans is a good name, but were doing it by attacking your person, you would be correct.

How exactly has anyone argued that Pelicans is a decent name? They have only attacked me, thus making it the very definition of an ad hominem attack.

However, people are arguing that you are an insufferable bitch.

Okay, now you're really starting to get riled up. Any more personal insults you want to throw around?

Ugh why am I even trying to help you understand. Ad hominem is a form of augmentative fallacy.

It'd be an ad hominem attack if people were upset about the Pelican issue and were just attacking your person instead of trying to argue their point.

If people are just tired of you as a person, than an attack on you isn't an ad hominem fallacy. It's actually rather appropriate.

It's okay if you don't understand. I'm sure your extensive knowledge of latin is causing you to read the words literally instead of how it's meant in the context you're using it.

This is basically the hope. Sure, it's a shitty name, but not the shittiest, and anything other than the shittiest has to be great.
