I can holster and reholster my XDs without touching the grip safety. I carry mine in a Crossbreed Kydex holster so it keeps form.
I am saying that if in the event that I need to draw just my weapon off my side or the small of my back, my hand naturally depresses the grip safety. If by any chance that they trigger is depressed or caught on anything, it will shoot upon depressing the grip safety. It is extremely rare that this would every occur, Only when drawing just the gun and it would have to be snagged which is very rare for the Crossbreed holster. The grip safety works but I feel that if the trigger is depressed before the grip safety is disengaged, the firing pin should not engage. Just my opinion
RATW, I got mine from Barking Irons in Baton Rouge. I know that they had a constant supply of them a few months back. I also know that Jims (shithole) had lots of them too.
