A pic of him moving in is not enough. Remember Dexter Pratt who actually moved in yet did not enroll.

I think the meltdown was caused because, first, he was a big time recruit; second, no one really knew exactly wtf happened. He showed up, moved in the dorm, went to register, moved out, enrolled at OK State.
Then he enrolled at North Texas.
Then he enrolled at Kilgore.
Then he went who knows where. Faded into oblivion.

I don't think he moved into the dorm. Sounded like he didn't have his paperwork in order, therefore the school couldn't provide him any benefits without committing a violation. Of course there were also rumors of pot issues when he first got here as well. Nevertheless, the meltdown was largely caused by the "Blame Miles First, Learn What Happened Later" crowd.

IIRC, he stayed at Keiland Williams and Charles Scott's apartment while he waited to be cleared to enroll and move in. That lasted one night before he was back on his way to Navasota, TX. There may or may not have been an incident that expedited his departure.
He went to OSU because his HS coach is Larry Fedora's brother.

I don't understand why players wait so late to arrive/register when enrolling early. It not like the start of the spring semester isn't known until 10 days beforehand, it's a hard date. I just hope this isn't another Kiel situation and that this kid is truly all in.

who knows, could have had a big family event this weekend...however when I kid comes from this far, especially as an early entry, I would think some second thoughts are natural.

Rettig is one of the last guys on the list that I am worried about. Have not heard a single thing except LSU with him. Even if he doesn't EE which is not what is being reported he would still be here for the fall.
