go away. This is the traditional way they look. Check some pictures of LSU from more than just a few years ago. I hate those stupid little shoulder boards they have been using lately.

It's not just LSU, every team in college and pro football that uses the "UCLA Shoulder Inserts" switched to the shorter stripe about 10 years ago as part of technical improvements that made the jerseys more "efficient." (Less baggy material for the opponent to grab on to)

Didn't see the Chicken Bowl, so can't say if Nike has found a way to make a jersey with longer shoulder stripes that is "High Tech." Can't comment on the numerals either, but there is no reason I can think of to change from the traditional full block numeral font that have been on LSU jerseys since at least the 60's.

Yall see Bama changing their jersey numeral font just for the sake of change?
