i remember when i first watched that. very tough indeed. felt bad for the guy. not one thing he said elicited a single giggle from myself of anyone ive seen irl or the internet

felt bad for him as well because even though he is a douche, that was wrong of them to do that. you know damn well the producers set that shite up to make fun of him.

No they gave him a forum to promote himself. He caused a near riot in the theater by being terrible. And then afterwards, he walked back to the dais with two thumbs raised and said "I did good, huh?".
The thing about roasts is that they last about 4 hours and we see 90 minutes. He was so terrible that they had to wait 10 minutes to bring Anthony Jeselnik on stage after he was up, it took that long to calm the crowd down. He even had professionally written material.

His career is essentially him acting like the dredges of society and he has probably made millions for that. In no way shape or form should this guy get respect.
