This too. Plus with college basketball the poll is not really very important anyway. There are so many games and so many teams a lot of these writers probably don't put very much thought into these things anyways.
His one irregular vote really doesn't mean shite in the grand scheme of things.
Now, this is pretty bad and seems illogical, but its really not a big deal.

Fletcher Mackel is a voter too but at least he did his homework. Rosetta really guessed which is why everyone is calling him out

While I agree with the sentiment, I think the issue here is he actually doesn't seem to have an opinion. It looks like he just randomly filled out a ballot uninformed

Illinois went 0-2 this week and will drop out of top 25.

Rosetta caters to his readers...I wouldn't imagine he spends a lot of time worrying about it. It's almost signing day for football, baseball is about to start and while I'm sure some people care, Nola.com isn't exactly in the tobacco road readership area.

Maybe so but putting Notre Dame as the 8 th best team in the US? Rosetta is going to lose his voting privileges and Louisiana will be left with one one AP voter. You can complain when LSU is penalized because of it in the future.

I was going to mention this. I'm biased because I know Randy and he is a great guy. But that notwithstanding, what is the point of this "column?" The polls, in reality, serve no purpose in college basketball as the selection committee doesn't look at it.
So why waste even virtual inches to criticize people for their own opinions?
