I thought it was absolutely great 3/4 of the way through. However, was anyone else pissed off at how this movie ended? First you have Hans, who should have ended up slicing Charlie's throat, butt instead dies in the most bulshit way by being gunned down by a henchman. Then there's Marty who runs away like a little bitch & lets his best friend die in yet another bulshit way, & on top of that the two bastards who kill Hans & Billy get arrested?? What kind of bulshit is this? After this clusterfrick I was at least hoping Marty would snap & go take out some justice on the two bastards but instead nothing happens. I would have rathered Billy's climatic shootout that he comes up with for the screenplay. At least Marty would have manned the frick up, Hans would have lived, & Billy would have gone out in a blaze of glory.
Such a bulshit way to end a potentially great movie. End Rant/

I literally just finished this movie. I kinda agree with you.
I don't like the way Billy died in the end. That was just anti-climatic. Same with Hans. I mean, what was the point of him reaching into his jacket, unless he wanted to commit suicide by someone killing him.

Billy died just the way he wanted really. Not like there was going to be a good ending for Billy anyway, as a serial killer.
Hans really had no reason to hang around after his wife was killed, so not exactly a terrible ending either way there.
It may not have had the slam bang action ending most wanted I guess, but it was a fitting ending. I particularly liked the true ending with the phone call from Waits.

Hotel hooker scene was my favorite.

Hans came up with a hell of a twist for the Vietnamese psychopath

That was a little deep. I liked it quite a bit, but some of the good parts were redundant with In Bruges. The "Let's make a story about... 4 crippled lesbians who find the meaning of life, and two of them were black" was still funny as frick, but obviously based off the even funnier see-saw line from Bruges. Loved the scene with Rockwell's character describing the end of the book. Best way to describe the movie, IMO, is "Casino". Great movie, but it will always be looking up to the older brother in "Goodfellas"/"In Bruges."
