To be honest, I think state associations will be a thing of the past within the next few decades anyway, except for public schools. I look at schools like Eastern Christian Academy starting a new trend, and can see regional, perhaps even national based associations which will draw a lot of attention and money. Look at the NCAA conferences scrambling to take over whole regions and the money it brings with it. How long do you think it will take to trickle to high schools? If you are worried about private schools having an advantage now, wait till high school games are routinely nationally televised and watching Evangel, Curtis, Rummel, and Calvary each week on ESPN 3 will be normal. Those schools will certainly have the advantage because the state association wasn't willing to do what it needed to do to keep itself together.

Where were you on Friday?

And to Ghost, I don't think state asso will go away because of travel cost.
