That may be true. I guess I'm just a huge non movie snob. I like some stuff like that (I like National Treasure, Gone in 60 seconds, and Avatar). But I also like very well done, deep films as well. I just want to be entertained usually when I go to a movie; if I want to learn something I'll look it up or watch a documentary. I don't think that says anything positive or negative about me; I understand these movies aren't deep, don't have some big message (well Avatar tried to have one) and are unrealistic. I just don't know why that means I shouldn't like them or that I'm stupid for liking them
fair enough. I have brilliant friends who watch movies that I, and most people on this board would consider trash. It's not an intelligence thing. Some people view movies as a very legitimate form of art and expression and are offended by nick cage and Michael bay. Some people, not necessarily dumb, like to just throw back some popcorn and be entertained. It's a very different movie watching philosophy.

Also music critics would probably say I listen to trash music. I would call them snobs. Different strokes.
