Even wooden stocks on a flat top AR with a cut down gas block would make is look more like a standard hunting rifle. Looks are everything in this political game. Since the ones with the powerful pen strokes don't have a clue what they are talking about and probably couldn't match half the names to the guns on the Feinstein ban list.
