I really dont like Dion very much myself but he is getting mocked pretty high. Not a huge fan of Glennon either but someone will reach.

He is already very high on every list I've seen. But have a look at where Guards have been picked the last several years in the 1st Round:

David DeCastro #24- 2012
Kevin Zeitler #27- 2012
Danny Watkins #23- 2011
Mike Iupati #17- 2010
Ben Grubbs #29- 2007
Davin Joseph #23- 2006
Logan Mankins #32- 2005
Vernon Carey #19- 2004
Kendall Simmons #30- 2002
Steve Hutchinson #17- 2001
Alan Faneca #26- 1998

the last team to take a guard in the Top 15 was..........

the Saints. Chris Naeole #10 overall in the 1997 draft.

I hope the BYU DE grades out well in the combine. He will probably be available to us, either him or Dion Jordan. One of those 2 DE's should be there.

Also one of Hankins, Jenkins, Richardson will be there for the DT position.

Hankins and Banks. Hankins is too good not to go top 15, and Banks will go to TB if they can't get Dee.

probable, not sure about locks though... these are guys that we need to drop to give more options to us.

just looked it up, its similar i guess, i maybe took it a step or two further. He's got T'eo on his list, I got De Milner and Glennon (2nd qb)

I like the idea of the without a doubt list. Kinda what i was working at in that other thread. The biggest reason for me is in hope of maybe reducing those sort of useless 'should we?' threads.

There may be a 2nd QB before the Saints but none I could put in the without a doubt category. We definitely wanna see some splash by Glennon, Barkley, and Tyler Wilson to elevate their stock.

Had to look on the frequency...

# of Qbs drafted before #15 by year:

2012-3
2011-4
2010-1
2009-2
2008-1
2007-1
2006-3
2005-1
2004-3
2003-2
2002-2
2001-1

Don't think we can say there has to be more than one before the Saints from that.

It'd have to be maybe in that Arizona, Bills, Jets stretch.

We always have Oakland to reach for a player in the first round that wouldn't even be drafted.

3 in the top 8 could easily happen, just don't see it as a penciled in without a doubt scenario.

Surveying across the top draft sites ya prolly can only put 6-8 players in the consensus of "no way possible" at #15. The next tier you see another 4-5 that would be "likely gone but might be around" at #15. The next group is where we should be surveying IMO.

Still a lot of settling of player stock to be had after the allstar games and combine. By that time I'd guess we have 2-3 players as the far most likely names called out on draft day by the Saints.

maybe time for Mock 1.0

We have to do it twice as hard to make up for last year. We're going 3 deep this year really hard. (that's what she said)
