My big problem really isn't separating the OT, its what else it could lead to and other boards it can destroy. Where does it end? Will there be an SEC MSB? SEC Poliboard? SEC M/TV board? I think it will kill off a bunch of boards really if we continue with this.

It seems clear that the direction they are moving in is creating two separate boards to maximize appeal and reach (and thus traffic/ad revenue). It also appears they are allowing this process to move slowly and naturally so as to avoid the issues you raise.

I doubt anyone will leave the TD boards (though it'd be nice if fr33 did)

I think it's just going to draw the posters that are joining via the SECr and those who almost exclusively post there. And who likes new posters anyway?

Is the SECr really a threat to "destroy" other boards? Y'all are being really silly.
