Coach comes off as a huge bitch in that article.

Absolutely. This little High School coach acts like this is all about him. Even talks about himself in the third person. WTF? frick the great "Jason Hall" and his prima donna attitude that will end up hurting his players more than helping them.

He's hurting his own school/kids more than Cincy. That coach sounds like a gigantic bitch

I think two posts was the best way to explain it.

Regardless of what the coach is like, it sounds like the kid would have gone anyways because he liked what Cincy offered academically. Doubtful he would have cancelled his commitment because of another recruit. Tommy probably pulled the offer.

Again, who knows how much of that article is accurate.

First off, my condolences for having to live in east texas.

I don't think this is Tuberville's MO... it certainly wasn't at Auburn. He had pretty good relationships with the HS coaches in the state... not sure about TTU, but I'd imagine it was similar. This appears to be more about the HS coach than Tuberville, IMO.

it happened to A&M with Fran and many Texas high school coaches. While he was HC I was working at an East Texas news station. I had at least 4 coaches from 4A and 5A schools tell me they would try to steer athletes from coming to Aggieland so long as Fran was coach. They flat hated the man and thought he was a full of himself, pompous, a-hole. I was shocked that coaches would willingly offer up info such as that to a news person upon finding out I was an Aggie but they didn't care b/c the damage had already been done.

I did some googling:

His brother was A Grad Asst at Cincy, but is now at UT
Also, it was reported that his twitter said he decommitted, but its not there anymore

I would think the HS school coach would have made that clear if that were the case.

Devin Smith. Massillon Washington.

Just checked his regional results from last year: 10.56 100 meter time.

Try again Lester.

Same town two schools, kinda. Jackson is in the Massillon metro, but in the Jackson township.

Also Massillon(washington) hasn't won a state title since after 1972 when the playoff format started in Ohio. I think the addition of Jackson is a major reason why.

It looks like it he may have slipped through the cracks in the coaching staff transition at Cincinatti and Hall is being a primadonna.

Except for the guy just being a tool, what else would make him react that way?

They recruited another QB. Thus, his boy, was going to have competition.

Ohio State. Doesn't mean Cincinatti doesn't recruit the fast kids. They seem to have plenty of team speed when I watch them play.

Again, going by the article, it sounds as if the more important thing to the kid was the academics. Playing for an FBS school was bonus.

Again, who knows. I'm not a Tubby fan, so maybe I'm biased.
