it will help bring back the "something to prove mentality " Seems like this years team was sleep walking , too many guys were playing the like they were mentally done. I saw it in the north texas game. the younger guys will step up . The only position I'm worried about is CB . I'm not sold on Collins being a starter and depth is concerning. This team played with no swag , I think they get it back, the pressure is off.

ETA: we got our asses embarrassed in the national title, if we ever had a chip on our shoulder it was last year.

We need the swagger of 2011. It'll be interesting to see who stands up... I like us in the underdog role also, we play better that way.

We played much better as the underdog this year. The crowd is more electric when expectations are lower as well.

Could be a benefit.

Preseason rankings are bogus anyway. If LSU starts off hot enough they will rise in the rankings. They are kind of worthless anyway til mid October.
