The salary cap is real. The thought that we are going to be able to invest significant money in the defense is off base. And, the window is closing on the superstars of this team.
We need to add a competent defense ASAP. If Spagnuolo can deliver that, great. But, I have a feeling 2 years from now we are still going to be talking about needing to add more talent.

The defense this year was not Spags fault. I have never seen worse man coverage from a pro team in my life. The only think you could fault Spags for is playing man; he tried playing more zone and blitzing less at the beginning of the year, and they sucked even more at it.
