interesting....

He'll still be at FSU on the 25th. I've read that FSU has cooled on him...especially after picking up Dwalker. We only have room for one more DE and some are saying we're going after Bower.

why are we even concerned about Williams when a kid flat out says he doesn't want to stay in state why don't we take his word for it.

Problem with people we don't listen anymore.

That's kinda my point.......and South Beach isn't so fun when you have a small child you're responsible for and Nevin Shapiro isn't footing the bill.

Not according to him during his interview with Jimmy D of Nola.com on 1/3/13. He was asked which schools he's interested in and in this order; LSU, Alabama, Florida State & Miami.

In January he has officials scheduled on the 11th Bama, 18th Florida State, 25th Miami & LSU last. Unless the kids a pathological liar, seems like he's not announcing Friday, but I could be wrong!

Either watching bama dominate last night sold him, he's committing to FSU when he arrives for his scheduled visit, he's committing to the U site unseen, or he's decided to stay home.

Well that clears things up.

You are a fricking moron. Do you know him? Tim does not hate LSU. Let this kid enjoy his recruiting process and the decision he makes will be his own decision. He's an 18 year old kid get a fricking clue

Might be giving football players too much credit there.

Doubt Nevin was Miami athlete's only "benefactor".

He doesn't hate LSU at all. Maybe he just wants to get away.

Apparently, LSU is Jan. 18th (Per ESPN).

People just need to accept he never wanted to be here. It doesn't have anything to do with "character issues" as someone else pointed out. He just wants to do his own thing. Nothing wrong with that. I hope he comes around to LSU but I doubt it. Can never have enough dlineman and Williams will be a good one wherever he goes...

Maybe he'll pull a Mickey Johnson on us and surprise with a commit.

Never seemed like a guy that was coming to LSU. We have a great class, I'm not going to get upset at this one. Would have liked to have him at LSU, but I was honestly much more concerned with Beckwith and I'm really happy to have landed him because I think he has the higher ceiling at the next level.

Listen to his interview, he says LSU is last - go to nola.com.

That's outdated, I believe. The ESPN report was today. He swapped the Jan. 18 visit from Miami to LSU, apparently.

Mud, nothing he's ever said or done suggests that he "hates" LSU, he just didn't grow up in P&G the way a lot of his HS teammates did. He has handled his recruiting quietly, and with class, without any of the lies and BS that LC and others did. And he's endured plenty of BS posts from Tiger fans on here and elsewhere, from the crap about LSU not being interested in him posted by our movie-watching buddy, to false rumors about hiim having academic and other off-field issues.

He would be a great talent for LSU to land, but if he ends up leaving the state for whatever reason, we should wish him well, and thank him for not stringing us along as others have done.

This time last year, LC was committed, TW's not, fwiw.
It's a big decision, I'd take my time, too, but not sure if Thanks are in order.

We didn't have any problem thanking Sam Montogomery for making a NSD decision. Or others. Tim at least hasn't given the staff reason to believe they've got him locked up then bolted like LC did. Granted, they don't know if we will get him or not, but he's not the first kid to wait late in the process. It's tough thinking about where to spend your next several years when you are so involved in playing out your season until mid-December.
