I passed by there this weekend and it wasn't open and those shitty neon lights weren't on. Seemed like the demand for steamed burgers wasn't as high as they had hoped. The Oak Street Burger Oligarchy whacked them with the quickness!

I will not be eating your chili. I definitly brown/fry my chili meat before it goes in the sauce.

Never had any desire to eat there. When I decide I want a burger, I'm not looking for something "healthy".

Uh, for chili and many other dishes the meat is browned before any other steps are utilized in the cooking process. I think I may have found your weak link in dates beyond number 1.

I definitely brown my meat before it "boils" (simmers) but technically you are boiling the meat. He didn't specify as to when the meat was boiled.

Get a bigger pot(wider and lower sides) to brown it, or do it in batches and the meat doesn't boil, it is cooked before going into a sauce.
