they can run block and pass block and they don't hold. on the other hand our qb, who has zero mobility, has very little protection a lot no matter who the opponent. even north texas damn near killed him.

in the past, miles has done the right thing at years end; i hope he cleans house on that side of the ball. keep the great recruiter, of course, but this offense is holding us back.

Honestly, the refs.

Primary reason.

because Miles thinks its a good idea to have the OL coach split time and try to call plays as well, plus our "scheme" allows defenses way too many advantages when defending us. Thus making every single aspect of our offense seem worse than it really is.

B holding is called, pass interference is called, facemasking is called, off-sides is called, spearing is called, false starts are called, helmet to helmet is called and LSU must suspend their players that violate hits that call for suspension.

Alabama is the only team in the country not called for a holding penalty all season long. Last night the other nonsec refs finally threw 2 flags for it.

LSU's line is terrible, but Alabama has the advantage due to the sec refs. That sounds like a conspiracy theory I know, but the shite is a fact.

One thing is I've just never understood having Stud as an OL coach in the first place. The guy is a OL coach for a spread offense. Miles likes/wants to run a pro-style. I've just never understood why you bring a coach in with a totally different philosophy that you want to run.

And stud has been here how long? As long as Miles? How many players has Stud coached/developed to get drafted? In 8-9 years? That should tell you if we need to make a change.

Ala's offensive line is obviously very good, but actually, they DO hold, and quite a bit, and it's not called very much.

We do have just as good of a line. I do feel Bama has better coaching at that position, and the playcalling for Bama is a little better then ours as well, which makes it a little easier on them as well.

Any top 10 program can say this and they don't have the same players. Saban's recruiting for breadth and depth appears to be unparalleled. I don't recall LA producing multiple great OL in the past and many are needed from out of state. There are one off's, but not many multiples in given recruiting classes. Then some like Loadholt are not accepted and go on to star at OU. Deal with it.

Stud came with Crowton in 2007 and was part of the Crowton offense. Hence why it looks so familiar to 2008, 2009 and 2010.

It certainly helps that Alabama didn't lose 3 of it's starting line during the season.

First off we have a horrible o-line coach.. I by horrible i mean HORRIBLE!

and as far Bama their line is good, but they get away with a lot of holding. And by alot i mean ALOT. Trust me, fathead Barret Jones is not, i repeat NOT and NFL lineman!
