Oregon would get railed as well. The only teams that can challenge an SEC champion are in the SEC.

With a month to prepare, Bama would make the SEC look their bitch as well. Oh, wait, that happened last year too.

False. I don't think Oregon would have been a challenge.

Stanford doesn't have the offense. In fact, they were pretty mediocre against a decent defense this year.

No one outside of the SEC challenges them. The style of football is too tough, too fast, too big, too everything.

Oregon couldn't play with LSU in Dallas and Auburn's depth got them the last two shots at the previous SEC Champs.

Oregon couldn't handle Stanford, so why would they be able to stay with Alabama? In recent years, whenever they've faced a team that plays old-school defense (Boise State, LSU, Ohio State, Stanford, Auburn), they've had trouble scoring.

IF Clemson got the Tajh Boyd that played in the game against LSU then they'd have a chance.

However, that was far from the norm for Clemson. Much more often we got a QB who would wilt under pressure and start seeing ghosts if you got to him early. Idk who that guy was on NYE, but if he plays like that all year it will be a fun season for Clemson fans!

I don't think Oregon could have given them a shot, Oregon always looks great while beating teams that can't match up physically and talent-wise, but almost always loses to equal or superior talent
