We backed into the title and still beat tOSU...a team you couldn't beat with the "greatest team in College Football History".

If backing into a title is define as teams ahead of you losing late in the season to get you into the BCS Championship then Alabama has backed into their last two. They were fortunate to get a rematch with LSU after the 2011 season when several teams lost late and were out of this year until Oregon and Kansas State both lost on the second to last weekend of the season. That is no different than what happen to LSU in 2007.
