How many footballs are used and in circulation during a football game in the NFL

I mean when guys score they usually throw the ball in the stands and QBs are constantly throwing balls away. I mean are there 20 30 50 or how many footballs going from the ball man to the field like an assembly line.

No clue. I'm sure a lot though. It's funny because zero fricks are given in professional sports. In college, if a ball goes in the stands, they usually want it back

From NFL Rulebook:
Digest of Rules Main
Ball
The home club shall have 36 balls for outdoor games and 24 for indoor games available for testing with a pressure gauge by the referee two hours prior to the starting time of the game to meet with League requirements. Twelve (12) new footballs, sealed in a special box and shipped by the manufacturer, will be opened in the officials’ locker room two hours prior to the starting time of the game. These balls are to be specially marked with the letter "k" and used exclusively for the kicking game.
