Tress beat Miles 33-7 in Miles' final game at Okie State.
Miles had one foot out the door and the comparison in program levels at that point in time would be like comparing LSU to Miss State. T. Boone Pickens' money didn't start pouring in until right when Miles was exiting.

Are we that "clean" here at LSU with respect to cars, benefits etc.?? Also what are the thoughts on Miles from folks at Okie State and Michigan? Nick is setting the bar right now no doubt.

Every SEC coach that recruits at a high level looks for small loop holes and find little things to get ahead. What Tressel did involved his players, a convicted felon, the FBI, and a coverup.

As part of its punishment, the NCAA made it nearly impossible for Tressel to become a college coach again. The NCAA hit Tressel with a five-year show-cause penalty until December 2016, under which any school that wants to hire him must submit a report to the NCAA detailing why it needs to employ him and how it would monitor him to ensure he doesn't break its rules again. Any school hiring Tressel during the five-year period would be subject to more severe sanctions if he cheats again. Even if a school hires Tressel, he will be suspended for the first five regular-season games when he returns, as well as any postseason contests.

Ohio State had its way with the Big Ten and went the BCSNC undefeated against LSU and got blown out
Actually, that year Both Ohio State and LSU has 2 loses. Ohio State backed in because West Virginia and Rich Rod choked against Pitt. Ohio State had no businesses in New Orleans that year. LSU even with 2 loses was a very good team that year.

Oh and it's 3 BCSNC appearances and his only win was on a highly questionable pass interference call which allowed them to get into OT.
miles won a nc with 2 losses & got embarrassed in his other appearance, i'll take tressel all day long minus the scandels

Tress is/was a Top 5 coach in college football for years and years. If he wanted a job he could have one.
Your a complete moron. Look it up genius, he can't coach until at LEAST 2016. "if he wanted to" I'll never understand why ignorant clueless idiots come on the board and think because they type something that makes it so. Tressel was fired for cheating, lying about it, trying to cover it up when an attorney warned him of it, impeded the NCAA's investigation.....etc etc etc GTFOff this site
