It's not that they haven't earned it. It's the honing in on the prospects committed there or with interest there and the lack of conversation about the rest of the players, by comparison.
ETA: for instance, Notre Dame. They are playing Alabama for the National Title and have the #2 ranked recruiting class (according to ESPN). Have you heard the announcers talk about their incoming class nearly as much?

Agree and stopped watching. Freaking bam suck Fest but I expect nothing else from this biased piece of shite network. Remember their politics helped bama get their undeserved rematch. Luginbill sucks Saban off many times over. Bama has 5 guys in this game, the same as lsu and probably other schools as well, but the bama verbals are all we keep hearing about. ESPN = bama network

NBC = ND network

So bamas won the SEC 2 of 4 years. There are plenty if gold standard programs. espn just loves to politicize bama, like nbc does for nd. they are not the only teams getting good players. In fact, once Walker decommits to go to Florida, bama only has 5 on UA roster and 3 at the army game. To compare, lsu has 5 at UA and 6 at army, yet I doubt lsu will get any time in either game other than the KB announcement. It is what it is, I just hate the media biases.

I agree with what you say except for there being "plenty of gold standard programs". There are not. There is one.
ESPN knows their audience. Probably 1/3 of the people watching want to associate with a winner. Why do you think there were so many Dallas Cowboy fans around the country? Or Lakers fans? Don't forget that ESPN is in the business of making money.
