Too many baseball players get into the HOF every year IMO. It's very skewed too as you can have a weaker class some years and a guy who wouldn't have gotten in makes it.

The BBWAA usually elects one player, maybe two. I think they've only elected three players in a year once in the past 25 years.

Now, I think they've been electing clearly inferior players, but that's another issue. The fact is, the ballot has about 15 players on it who aren't just better than the minimum Hall standards, but are better than about half of the players in the entire Hall. It's absurd. If you made a team of "average" Hall of Famers, it would likely lose to the team made from guys on this ballot.
