who had a superstar Heisman QB? because that's the only reason they got the better bowl bid.

If it's not the NCG, why does that matter or why is that relevant?

I think the prblem is the English language. It's a pretty well known fact that people around here have, at best, a pretty shallow knowlege of it.
They don't understand the meaning of words like mediocrity or arrogance. They only know using them makes them feel smart so they rush here to post. Then someone else picks up on it and here we go again.

Because offense sells tickets..

defense after playing 100 plays, cant beat a shitty ACC team....

So what does it matter? I'm not sure why one bowl is better than the other bowl and what effect its going to have on anything. Unless it's the NCG, each and every bowls are the same.

But, I understand, you are worried about what other people think. I'm sure what other people think and going to Peach Bowl vs. the Cotton Bowl is going to have an awful effect on the recruiting class.

I think that matters in recruiting less than the Toonces Logo.

So LSU wouldn't have sold many tickets to the Cotton Bowl?

So this was taken into consideration during bowl selections?

Ask me after next year. If we lose 3-4 next year then we slipped some. Everybody and their sister wins 10 games in a season now.

16 BCS schools won at least 10 games this year. That is still a significant accomplishment.

You can answer if you'd like as well.

Why is the bowl relevant?

Prominent...you are a good poster so I'm not sure what you mean by that.

Bowls matter a great deal in the big picture of the program namely recruiting or TV exposure....

You think a Coach wont use a team playing in an inferior bowl in recruiting..

see Steve Spurrier saying, you can't spell Citrus without UT....
