Mett is not the problem people

I see people blaming Mett for this loss and wondering why we can't recruit a good quarterback. I got news for you people, it isn't the QB. As long as we continue to have this philosophy on offense, all of our quarterbacks will continue to look inept. I'm not saying Mett shouldn't shoulder some of the blame, but a very predictable offense is any QB's worst nightmare.

Not sure where you're reading that the blame is on the QB. He had a couple bad plays but I'm pretty sure the blame is aimed at the staff.

So Mett's inability to throw into the flats from the bootleg is not a problem? with the game on the line?

There is plenty of blame to go around and Mett deserves his share.

It's part of the problem, yes indeed. The bigger picture issue is the Pop Warner offensive scheme Mett must identify with.

I think Mett is progressing about as good a one can expect with this offense.
He should be lights out if the coaches and the O-line get their shite together in 2013.

It's not Mett, it's the asshat of a HC and OC we have. Like seriously, they're fricking morons when it comes to playcalling, coaching, clock management, discipline, etc. We'll never win another NC with either one of them at the helm.

small playbook, simplified offense.

and Mett cannot execute this offense. What would he look like if the offense was more complicated and ask him to do more.

2nd and 2 looked like the right call to me, Landry had some room to run with single coverage on the outside and a blocker. Could have resulted in a large gain or score. Miles did not over throw Landry

Mett has been really inconsistent throwing on the run all year so why call THAT play in THAT situation, when your imperatives are, in order of importance, 1) protect the ball 2) use the clock and 3) get a first down?

I was expecting miles to run the option right there

I blame the game-long struggles along the offensive line.
