The rain and warmer temps has been helping the pond boys out. What about wild crawfish? I ask because I am going after it rains on Friday.

The biggest thing I know about crawfish is their water temp. to 'run'.
It's gotta be above 65F for any serious movement.
Good post.
Didn't know the water was still that warm.

I didn't think that Manchac was really a crawfish spot, but I might be mistaken....

I may be off base, but I think you may be wasting your time going while it's still pretty chilly like this. They burrow themselves in the mud when it gets old and are very lethargic. Depending on the weather I would wait until at least early March.

Hey Child, can you tell me where there is public prperty to crawfish on the north side of Manchac? I'm originally from houma, so I'm not familiar with this area. I just want to make sure I know I'm not going to accidents end up on private property. Thans!
