No, any professional designer would start out with the logo centered properly.

So would any half assed fake attempt, especially if all you are doing is moving a logo onto a hat with very clear centering lines. This is either a no assed attempt at a fake or it's not a photoshop but a low quality hat with a pelican logo. Either way we should be disappointed with the craftmanship.
The logo itself is ok, but nothing special.

That's my thought as well. I understand it's not centered, but that doesn't mean it's not a quick mock up to send to Adidas so they have an idea of what it will be.
Let's just hope that no matter what they go with navy/gold as the primary, that looks slick. PLEASE no McDonald's red/gold.

I'm calling bull shite. The OP claimed that these pictures were sent BY Adidas. He has since edited that out of the OP to minimize the lies he gets caught in.
So, if the OP wasn't lying, it would have come FROM Adidas. Do you really think Adidas, with a large team of professional designers, is going to send out a mock-up with the logo off-center? I sure don't.

Probably not, but it sure is fun to speculate.
If that's it, I'm not overwhelmed but I like it. If not, we'll wait until April or March like we already were.

Demps has run a pretty tight ship since he arrived, so the locals not having the scoop isn't surprising. That being said the League Office is quite leaky and something like a logo would have likely gone through the league office before making it's way to Adidas or the Driveman.

Again, you're assuming something much more official than this may actually be.
Driveman seems more like an arse than a troll, and since we almost always give him a hard time rather than props when he posts BREAKING NEWS here, I don't see why he'd come here expecting positive attention. Also, if this is fake he went through the effort of coming up with the Armani logo comparison but then he couldn't take the extra second he would need to center the logo on the hat? Time will tell if this is true or not, but this seems like an odd troll attempt if that's what it is.
