Of course it does, but I also find it to be kind of a cop out. If the defense does what it needs to do to get off the field (like the other team), they aren't on the field as long.

I'm not saying this is true for Monday night's game becausee of the 1 play drive in the second half, just in general.

This was clear against Florida when the D was dominating until late in the third. Not with Clemson who scored two TDs in the first half.

also to react as well. defense gets drained before offense
