That's happening everywhere in college football. Major programs are breaking their offensive records because of more games, a ton or rent-a-wins a season, and top-heavy/bottom dweller talent distribution.

To do what he is doing in the SEC should speak for itself

You wanna know how I know this? Because while Miles is "breaking all these offensives records"....we still rank on average around 80th in the country on offense.

They do not realize how awesome we have it at this moment. They want the wide open offense because it looks pretty and has a bunch of highlights. I will take W's. Everyone is frustrated after this game, but one play 4th and 16 should not happen against this defense or any defense

I'm frustrated by the offense too and I want stud demoted , but you see numerous posters saying that winning 10 games is mediocre.
Then in another thread they'll talk about how good the conference is.
It just goes to show you that some of our " fans" are becoming exactly what we hated about Bama fans, ENTITLED.
They have the gaul to say 10 wins , IN THE HARDEST DIVISION , IN THE HARDEST CONF is mediocre. They quickly forget that LSU was one 3rd & 8 conversion , from winning the west. BUT YEAH OUR YEAR WAS shite.
They also fail to see that Clemson has a lot of NFL talent on that offense. Should we have beaten them? Yes, but losing to Clemson is far better than losing to a team that shared the BIG EAST title.

What Miles did twelve years agao at OKSTATE has nothing to do with what he is doing now.

He may fire Stud to use him as a scape goat.

JL all but said it when he said it was not OC's fault.

6-7 other teams are doing the same in the SEC right now. Are you calling Miles mediocre?

Exactly, the reason they hate LES is because he is not SABAN!! They will never get over that EVER!

Plain and simple

So what happened last year? We were 2nd in the SEC in scoring offense. I guess our offense sucked last year too, right?

Yep. Everyone wants to harp on the offensive play calling on our last possession and yet fail to realize that we had them stopped on 4th and 16 an they pick it up.
Also I'm not one to bitch about refs, but even my Bama friends were saying the calls were bs.

What are you talking about? 4 of the top 5 LSU OFFENSES OF ALLTIME ARE LES MILES COACHED TEAMS. has zero to do with OSU.

A. I JUST explained that
B. We were 14th in points (more games) and 17th in points per game last season in the nation
C. Points per game do not equal scoring OFFENSE. Do you realize how many touchdowns and short fields resulted from defefensive turnovers and special teams play last year? Did you even watch LSU?
D. Proof: LSU was 86th in yards per game last year.

Another smack of rationality.

Tough to call plays when your QB can't complete a long pass. Or a short pass.

and just for the hell of it our qb throws into tight coverage periodically, esp over the middle and in the red zone. we have got to get a qb; we've been striking out way too long.

Once we can decide on who's to blame we can move forward. This post and the replies demonstrate once again that we (myself included) don't know anything about football, coaching, or teamwork. We're all disappointed in the Clemson game and the BCS last year and, granted, there are some worrisome aspects of the football program. And granted being able to sound off on TD gives us a great way to get our voices heard, but let's see what happens. Assessing blame only creates more problems.

Since Miles has been at LSU:

-Alabama has broken several offensive records under Saban
-Florida has broken several offensive records under Meyer
-Arkansas has broken offensive records under Petrino
-Miss State has had the most points scored over a span of the last three years than any span in its history
-Ole Miss had the most points scored over a span of 2008-2010 than any span in its history under Houston Nutt
-Texas A&M's offense this season and the broken records speak for themselves
-Georgia's offense has scored more since 2005 than any span in its history
-Auburn's offense with Cam Newton...broke several records

Didn't even bother to check other teams in the SEC. I think you get the point.

Just listed them: 9 SEC schools (including LSU) have broken offensive records in the same span that Miles has been at LSU. NINE.

I guess you agree then? Cherry picking 2006-2007 as record breaking years for LSU doesn't make Miles stand out from the rest of the SEC. Let's kill that myth.
