It would shock me if he ends up at LSU. He is a bad fit for a Les Miles offense. Michael Ford is an undersized back in a Les Miles offense and he is in the 205lb range. Les likes them at least 6'0" and 225lbs plus. Les doesn't know what to do with smaller backs. These smaller backs like Palelei can be dangerous but have to be used properly. I have seen Palelei in person and he is around 5'8" to 5'9" and around 180-185 no matter what the programs says. For this kid's sake I hope he plays in a more wide open offense where he can be used properly.

You might want to tell Les that, then. Les has told him and the family they want him as a change of pace back. No comparison to Michael Ford at all, Ford has no change of direction whatsoever. You are also wrong on the weight, he is every bit of 190 now. He benches 305, squats 595 and ran a 4:37 just before school broke for the Holidays.

Ford is not small. He is a 215 pounder who runs up the middle like a 200 pound back. Mark Ingram is around the same size as Ford and would've been a perfect fit in the LSU system because he is a 215 pounder who ran like a 230 pound RB at Bama. If Palelei proves that he is not afraid to play big, he will fit in.

Good God. Miles prefers big backs, but that doesn't mean he can't use smaller ones. Joseph Addai.
