Apologies if this has been covered. Searched the first three pages here just now and have not been on the Scoreboard.
I had volume muted because the announcers weren't doing it for me.
What was the explanation / justification for this call?

Stupid call. Lineman do that all the time.

Quite possibly one of the worst calls I have EVER seen

It was a call I never thought I would ever see outside of the state where pure unadulterated evil exists. Delay of game on defense because a defensive player pointed that an offensive lineman moved.

There was no explanation, just the call made by the official

I was speechless for a solid 2 mins
I feel like rasco tricked the ref to throw the flag and then said oh shite he didn't flinch.
Still baffled at that

Was on third and four, right?
Not like we had much success on defending on third down, but that was a kick in the stones.

Offensive lineman moved back and Rasco was pointing it out to the refs just like all d-lineman do ten times a game but the completely inept officiating crew decided lets frick LSU some more and didn't explain the penalty at all. If you really want to know why we lost the game, go back to the fricking terrible no call on the blatant pass interference on the Landry dropped TD.

Im still not sure what happened there, other than it was not the time to get that called on us.
The actual referee call was that Rasco made a non football move in order to entice a false start. So he was accused of barking or making movements that wasnt considered a football move.

It was just a call to give Clemson the first down at a critical point in the game.

quote:Again - it's not like we were stopping them. It's just an obscure-assed call. Kinda like the Auburn blocked XPA climbing the back call - made once per decade or so.

Tho the AU call was far more heinous and definitely directly affected the outcome of the game.
