Miles should've gotten a raise last year after going 13-0 and winning the SEC. He hasn't had a raise since 2007?

I don't blame Miles for trying to get a raise. I blame Alleva for not giving him one last year when he earned it.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!! Money should be given when performance improves not when it's going down hill!! I no longer have any respect for Miles-- apparently it's all about the money and not the kids, fans or university. Shame on him!

I agree with this. Miles should have gotten a raise last year.

My problem is the hypocrisy of this fan base.

I don't care if Jeff long took care of a dying loved one when miles was a kid. Which he didn't.

If ANY coach from a big rival school was "talking" to a divisional rival's AD about their current job opening, this fan base would be over on the SEC rant trolling the hell out of that fan base calling the coach in question a scumbag for even doing such a thing. But since it was miles, we will cut him a break because he has character. Miles should have never spoken to Long about the job. Period. If miles agent fields the call, then that's on him. But miles literally spoke to a divisional rival about their job. Jesus, if Saban did something like that, this board would melt down in giddyness.

I will say it again. Miles deserved a raise after last year. Probably after the SEC champ game. However, Him getting a raise didn't require him to talk to Jeff long about their job opening.
