Movies where you rooted for the Villains

And why?
Silence of the Lambs/Hannibal- Hannibal Lecter: he was such an intriguing character, a brilliant sociopath who played his games so skillfully and deftly that it left me wanting him to get away.
Law abiding citizen- Gerard Butler: I don't know if he falls into the villain category so much as the anti-hero, but his methods and reasons left me wanting him to exact his justice. Personally I think they changed the end to make it more palatable to mainstream audiences.
What about you?

def not a villain. the quintessential anti-hero ala stone cold steve austin in the WWF's "attitude era"

Almost every horror movie I have ever watched. If you are too stupid to know to NEVER run into the woods, the villain deserves to hack you apart with a meat cleaver.

I rooted for the bad guy in Karate Kid too.
I just wanted to see Daniel and the chinaman to beat the americans

I haven't seen it but I think the marines are the villains and the weird blue creatures are good.

Almost the definition of an anti-hero, no?

Godfather Saga - Michael & Vito Corleone: This would be my top vote. They are bad guys in a sea of bad guys, but you want them to succeed over all other while not getting caught.
Law Abiding Citizen- Gerard Butler: I agree that they ended the movie the way they did almost as if to tell you he was the villain.
3:10 to Yuma - Russel Crowe: A bad guy doing a good deed or something to that effect.
Young Guns - Billy the Kid: They sort of made him the hero in a way, so I am not sure this one counts.

I wanted them to get caught.

I always root for the villains against those smug CSI/NCIS/Law&Order bastards.

Flight - Denzel was an irresponsible drunk. If I was in a plane crash and the pilot was drunk and high I'd be livid

Seriously?
Either way I think the intention was for you to root for them.

I desperately wanted the aliens in "War of the Worlds" to kill the son.
