Is it worth the $$, can you really see a big difference?
How does it effect the ride?
Does it allow one to put bigger tires?
What are th cons of doing it?

It would be on a 2012 crew cab Silverado

Allows bigger tire.....looks better, cheap......does not affect ride.

No cons really that I can think of.

So a win/win? What's it run, around $300 installed?

It's a win.....I'd say no more than $300.....maybe less. I believe they are fairly easy to install if you're mechanically inclined.

I'd just get a body lift. They're relatively cheap. Suspension is where it start costing money.

Paid 150 for mine installed. Been 3 years. Never changed anything with the ride.

Think the biggest pro is it looks much better.

Eta: pretty sure the brand on mine is sunstar or something similar.

Why do trucks need to come from the factory with the front end down in the first place?

inbeforsowhenyouloadthebeditlevelsout

Most pickups spent WAY more time with empty beds than loaded beds.
Some never get loaded.

Do not get a body lift........if you just want to level it up....get the leveling kit. I'd never put a suspension lift on my daily driver again.

On one hand, I feel the factory set up would be leveled if they design things to run optimally the way they're manufactured and assembled. On the other hand, I've never known it to do anything bad to my few friends that have done it.

On the third hand.... damn, I'm gonna need MOAR beer and I don't wanna leave to get it.

The rake is so the truck levels out when a heavy trailer is on the ball

That's why some people try to retain a slight rake by changing the rear block when they level

So the truck should sit unleveled for the majority of time when there is no trailer, or cargo in the bed, so that when you load it down it can be level then?

gotcha

I'm thinking about doing this as well so I can fit a little but bigger tire. I hate all that wheel well space from the factory.

Not sure why you're rolling eyes

It's the truth

Could it be possible that engineers design a truck for functionality and not so that it "looks" level most of the time? Trucks are tools, not show pieces. I'm not saying anything against leveling, just saying there is a real reason for the rake

My next one will be leveled but I'm about to trade my F150 so I'm waiting to do the next one

Eta: air bags are nice to relevel when you load the bed/hitch

I wasn't necessarily rolling eyes at you.
What great function is there to the truck being level when it is loaded down?
The weight distribution is the same either way.
I leveled my truck off.
When I bought it the front end raked the ground.
It doesn't pull a trailer any better, or any worse now that it is level when empty.
