Any idea on approx value? Would it be reliable at all age considered? Fun to shoot?

Seen some positive opinions but nobody with the expertise as the OB ballers.

I have an heirloom Police Positive, and it's worthless. I'm still not sure why they put a standard barrel on a small frame, but it is what it is. The Official Police is just the medium frame version of that, although I have limited experience with it - I'm basing my opinion on the Police Positive.

The problem is that they were so mass produced and are so plentiful, even today, they hold no real value, despite their vintage. I would also not fire +P ammo out of it, but it is a decently made gun, when Colt was on the top of their game. It should shoot well, but anytime you're picking up a gun of that vintage, get it thoroughly checked out by a pro before firing it - improper lock up, or too much play in the cylinder can make for a bad time.
