Do we have any shot at this guy? I don't even see us as a possibility on 247 but I know he has mad 3 or 4 visits. I would love to have him...

He doesn't want to stay in state.
He is one recruit that wants to go away to school. Aside from something extraordinary happening, he will play CFB somewhere other than LSU. (His choice)

The word is he has off field problems and some other negative factors. L M is close to U High and knows more than we hear.

So 2 years in a row we lose the #1 recruit from the state?

Why is it that the #1 recruit in the state changes from day to day depending on who is coming to LSU? Last week it was Beckwith, until he started to be considered an LSU lean. Now it's Williams because he's going out of state.

Pretty sure the top recruit in the state (and 7 others in the top 10) is committed to lsu.

So people can bitch and moan about LSU not signing the #1 recruit in the state 2 years in a row.

Is it really trolling if it has been done in over a dozen threads about the exact same recruit?

dont blame him.. i know he didnt go to all 4 years at U-High, but still, the same campus as my high school would make me, personally, want to get away

Les Miles sucks at recruiting. If he could only lock up the #1 player from Louisiana every season, the past 3 seasons his record would have been even better than 35-5 (after he beat Clemson, and 87% wins btw)
The #1 player is very debateable this season and on the 247 composite ranking which averages the recruiting sites, KB is the #1 player. With TW off field issues, I would not consider TW the best instate player even if the Composite had him 1. The staff isn't pursuing TW and doesn't want him. I trust this coaching staff (see 35-5 record past 3 years) and they are not interested in pursuing TW due to the mentioned off field issues.

Actually, this isn't true. It isn't his choice. LSU stopped pursuing due to off field issues. If LSU truly wanted him, they would be pressing. See all other instate players that LSU truly coveted that have left the state. The glaring difference is the staff never stopped pressing if it was a guy they coveted.
