Some of the pictures posted in this thread of Ebay purchases are not great conditioned coins. Are the purchases being made due to being able to pick them up for cheaper than silver spot pricing in hopes of making a return if silver jumps up with the economy?

I have never bought from Ebay but my guess is that these guys are just starting their collections and it's cheaper than buying a MS65 from a dealer. And that's totally fine. They will eventually pick up one really nice piece. Then another, then another.

To me, being new to the hobby, all of my pieces are nice to me! After looking around I have set my sights on some CC pieces and hopefully after a nice tax return this year and I will get one.

As of now, I only allow myself $100-150 a month, making it very hard to get some nice pieces. I also have other goals with that money currently such as acquiring silver until I get about 50 oz. Eventually, I will really start getting into the "good" stuff.
