Both of Mr. Rabalais' articles in the Advocate were only meant to provide a 2-part series addressing the hypothetical arguments for both staying and leaving.

Link?

If this is what The Advocate meant to do, then they communicated this very, very poorly.

They should have done it the way USA Today does with the opposing viewpoints on opposite pages or opposite sides of the same page.

Regardless, Rabalais' article is complete garbage. If the Big 12 was so fricking awesome, then why did A&M leave? He wants to escape the shadow of Bama by moving into the shadow of Texas and league offices in Dallas? We would just replace A&M as the crybaby whiny bitches of the Big XII. Also Rabalais doesn't even consider writing his crybaby bitchfest of an article if LSU finished our final drive off with a touchdown instead of another field goal attempt after 3 straight runs that went nowhere. The REC isn't to blame for that loss. We had our shot and didn't finish them off. Spilled milk. In Rabalais' case, spilled mama's titty milk.

I'm not exactly sure if they had intended to do it this way; I live in New Orleans, so I don't read the Advocate every day. That's how I took it, though; because the two articles came out on separate days, it led to a LOT of confusion.

This is exactly how I would have done it. But, the fact that he felt the need to make this argument at all was unnecessary.
