IMO VIII, IX, VII. They are all GREAT. Don't get me wrong. And I'm not hating on VII at all by putting it third. I just preferred the other two. VIII is my favorite FF. I really enjoy the story & combat & junctioning has been my favorite character customization. IX has a good story. I've been kind of leaning towards IX. my though process is that IX would be a better game to follow up VI with as opposed to the other more futuristic settings of VII and VIII.

Since I can only play one of them, I'll finish up VI and then move on to IX. then at a later time, I'll play VII and VIII back to back.

is this a good idea or is this nonsensical and it doesn't make a difference which order I decide to play them
