It's not the name or the payout. It's being passed over, under the influence of the conference office, by two teams with the same record, both of whom LSU beat.

I really don't buy this argument which has been made over and over again.
AM was the obvious pick for the Cotton. Heisman trophy winner, hottest team which beat Bama and has looked impressive since, former Big 12 team coming back to play Big 12 powerhouse in the heart of the Big 12.
As a general rule, if pretty much all is equal, Florida bowls will pick an East team over West.

We'll be there,too, and bought our tickets from LSU. But everynow and then you get tired at the SEC and its lame commissioner never do anything to help LSU and our passive AD just sit back and shrug.
