The purpose of this article is to generate reader interest, not to be an honest assessment of LSU's relationship with the SEC. You would have to be totally naive to take this article seriously.
The most desirable time to leave the SEC would obviously not be now. Not during an era when the SEC is generating the most revenue for each school in its history, and when it is universally acclaimed as the premiere college football conference.
LSU is positioned now to take advantage of the SEC’s prestige in college football more than at any time in the history of LSU or the SEC. If you want to throw that away, then yes this is the perfect time to leave the SEC.
