went to record it when it comes on TBS tonight and they are wanting me to pay $4 to do so. I did it last year on my parents' DirecTV box with no issues (and for free). Greedy bastards

ok so went into the bedroom and it let me record. it just wasn't letting me record on my receiver box for some reason

Direct TV has been airing XMAS movies to purchase all month long. You probably selected the pay version and not the TBS one.
