Look at how many times he has fumbled or dropped a ball in the last few seasons because he wants to make sure he doesn;t hit the ground hard or get hit hard. He should realize the game now favors him and he has a better chance of not getting popped.

he fumbled the ball in the first game of last season and didn't have another one the entire year
He had some of the best hands in the NFL last season
The year before that, he had ZERO fumbles.
