Agree with this...the scene with them kicking and tossing dishes around Bilbo's house bugged me. It seemed like it was straight out of a cartoon, and took away from their characters IMO.

Also, forgot about the eagles...that bothered me too. They come in and save the day, and then we're still miles and miles away from the mountain where we actually need to be. Didn't make any sense (same thing with LotR). And I'm sure that's answered in the book, but the movies aren't made for bookreaders...they're made (generally speaking) for non-bookreaders. So if you're gonna have something happen like that, you could at least throw in a reason as to why you don't just hop on the eagles and fly to your destination lickity split. A simple like of dialogue could handle that.
