Why are there seemingly so many LSU underclassman declaring for the pros every year? Over the past few weeks AJ McCarron and CJ Mosley both announced that they are coming back to bama for their senior season.

Do you guys think that LSU's attrition is in line with national average, OR do we lose more players each year that should remain for their senior season to signifigantly improve their draft stock?

Dude Bama had 3 Jrs leave early last year. Mccarron is garbage, there is no reason for him to leave. Bama will likely lose 2-3 more JRs after this season too.

It's not some huge problem people are making it out to be. We had a lot of high profile Jrs this year. People like money, it happens.

An average QB and a LB that only plays in passing situations decided to stay at Alabama, so what?

Wouldn't part of it be your draft evaluation? Alabama players are talented but benefit from the system. These guys who do the evaluations probably know that themselves. Bias aside, LSU has more pure talent than Bama.

There is no doubt that our players are leaving early to go play in the NFL. The question is why?
There are several possible answers to this, but that's not the point.
Coach Miles has an obligation to develop these kids for the next level. He is keeping his word and doing his job. You dont become the NFL pipeline leader and not have many playmakers leave your program early each year; it is what it is.
The SEC is a tough physical league many think its the JV for the NFL. Why would u go back and get the bruises and the crap knocked out of u for free when u can get paid for the same attrition.
We lost Brockers, Randle and Claiborne last yr all key spots that we were uncertain if the younger kids could step up. But maybe we are looking at this half empty vs hal full. It reminds me of a Lou Holtz quote many yrs a go when freshman rarely didnt redshirt.

Sophomores- are just glad to see the field-Humble
Juniors- Want to win!- team oriented
Seniors want to get drafted.- Self centered

Chief said it right when he said something along the lines of, wont don't recruit guys to redshirt because we recruit guys who are ready to leave after 3 years

When you recruit the best you are going to lose some of those guys. I'd rather loss stud Jr. Then have average ones come back and play Sr year.

probably, but as an LSU fan you just notice the LSU guys that leave early and not guys that leave Ohio State or Texas early.

Also since so many fans on here continue to have Bama envy, you notice that 2 guys announced they are coming back, ignoring guys like: Richardson, Ingram, Jones and others that left early.
