It's very uncommon...and not an indicator of anything IMO.

In fact, it may be more of an indication that teams get a real good feel for the signability of LSU prospects over other prospects.

Or, it may be a reflection of Mainieri's approach to choosing the kids he chases. He works to understand what a kid wants from a signing bonus perspective and focuses on kids that he thinks have a higher probability of choosing college.

In short, I don't think it reflects poorly on Mainieri at all.

It seems like they have a good read...the LSU recruits that are drafted high usually sign.
