That's basically what this year was. He didn't qualify out of his juco so he had to go back to school and come as a mid-term after not playing in the fall.
Hopefully, he had a good fall of workouts and made progress in terms of physical strength and explosiveness.

But where would he play? Pretty sure both G spots are locked up. Then again, I'm not sure how the staff let Hurst and Williford play over Turner/Alexander...

Most likely Guard. However, most O lineman on the team are taught to play multiple positions just in case. It's not going to be easy for him to beat out Collins or Turner, but that doesn't mean that he won't get playing time next year. Plus I think Collins will be a 1st round pick after next year, as an OG.
