These threads do nothing more than bring out the negative recruiting fans and promote the 
BS attitudes that are annoying.
Listen, it's recruiting. Kids can go wherever they feel fits them best. It's their life. However, Beckwith has never mentioned which team leads, but all other sources say it's LSU.
Is it easy to come and say that he's gone? Of course. Statistically speaking you have a much better chance of being correct.

I still disagree with that. Beckwith will be a project. I'm not excited about projects. He'll go to Bama and be buried behind guys that already know the positions.
This whole Louisiana kids having to stay in Louisiana is a full blown retard now. I can see how important it was a few years ago when LSU relied on those top guys to come in and help out the program, but now.......they can look elsewhere.

It's the time of year that no matter what the intentions of the thread are, it gets dragged down to shite by the people that don't frequent this board until the season is over.

I mean, people are STILL crying over Landon Collins.
I guess people missed the fact that Corey Thompson had about as much playing time at LSU that Collins had at Alabama.
If I'm not mistaken, so did Sandolph.
If Collins were as good as Louisiana people made him out to be, he would have been freshman All-American.
Truth is, even if Collins would have gone to LSU, he'd be buried on the depth chart there as well.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm disappointed that a couple nice players are leaving and not because its Bama... just I'd like to have them here. Same with McKnight, Reed, and Robinson (though it does seem when guys leave they usually don't do much).
Some of these people are trying to over compensate for the people who are freaking out about "losing recruits to Alabama"... if you say it sucks a guy wants to go somewhere else then you're a crybaby pussy who thinks the sky is falling.

I'm pretty sure Thompson got more time. He was in a lot at the end of the year.

his recruitment is far from over. I don't know really what Shea and Sonny say are going on. A friend of mine knows Shea well and he used to give me insight into what Shea thought but I haven't seen the kid in a while so I have is what I can read.

I just wanted to be clear I wasn't picking apart your posts. It was more a rant on the overflow posters during the offseason.
I prefer LA kids to stay in LA too and get upset when they leave.

McKnight was a fumbling machine.
Reed is WAY WAY overrated and barely has his name called.
Robinson plays, sure. But where would he fit on the OL right now?
LSU lost those guys and it goes back to what I was saying. LSU found guys to take those spots and didn't miss a beat.

I just want to try to understand and discuss this infatuation with kids leaving Louisiana when LSU is bringing in top OOS kids. Just trying to process the line of thinking.
