Sounds like Sulphur had recently fallen back to where it was when I was in school with Chaumont. We had a ton of athletes who played basketball, baseball, wrestled, but didn't play football. Viator seemed to change that, but it looks like it fell back to where it was. Hopefully this guy can turn it around.

wainright seemed one of the least attractive candidates of the ones mentioned in the paper. Dont know much about him as a coach but thats a jump to murderers row and inheriting a staff could be a problem, Trying to bring in his system to the "good ole boys" who may not be receptive. Sulphur always reminded me of Denham springs, lots of kids with community support (may be good or bad) but not alot of athletes, but maybe running a wing / option offense can offset that.
